Personal Thoughts on Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette

Hello again fellow Beauty Addicts, I know it's been quite while since i last posted a review / personal thoughts on one specific Palette so i thought maybe it's a good time to have one again. Recently i received a Christmas gift from my generous Boss, it's none other than the Ultimate Basics Palette from the Urban Decay . If i am not mistaken this is one of their recent palette that they released this year.

First of all i must commend Urban Decay for creating such Beautiful, Elegant and Sleek packaging!!

This Palette is made of a durable Hard Plastic with Engraved Text and design with a dimensions of 11.5 cm x 12.5 cm x 1.8 cm.

From the moment you open the Palette you will instantly fall inlove with it because the packaging is luxurious and just sooooooo pretty plus it's GOLD!! who doesn't love SHINY GOLD?!!!! 

What's good about this palette is all the shades are new and different from the two previous Matte Palettes the Basic 1 and 2.  According to Urban decay they created this Pallete due to high demmand of beauty junkies (including my self)  to create a larger palette that has pure matte shades and thus The Naked ULTIMATE PALETTE was born!!

The Palette is composed of 12 rich , pigmented and beautiful Neutral Matte shades these are the  Blow (light nude demi-matte), Nudie (soft pink-nude matte), Commando (light taupe-brown matte), Tempted (pale brown matte), Instinct (medium pink-taupe matte), Lethal (reddish brown matte), Pre-Game (pale yellow matte), Extra Bitter (burnt orange matte), Faith (medium warm brown matte), Lockout (rich neutral brown matte), Magnet (smoky gray matte) and Blackjack (warm black matte)., 

The shades a bit powdery w/c is actually expected since it's matte but the color payoff is AMAZING!! all of these colors are so Pigmented and so easy to apply and blend.

These colors are perfect for all skin types w/c i find it awesome because this Palette retails for 54.00 USD in Urban Decay Website (urban decay usa ) but if you're like me who is living in the Philippines and outside Metro Manila then you have to expect that this will cost more than $ 54.00 you can get this Palette on these online shops:  Makeup your Mind Store (click for product link ) for 2,950.00 Php Plus Shipping,  Makeup Depot Ph (click for product link ) for 3,100.00 Php. All these shades are pretty but i'm always drawn to Warm tones so i usually go for the shades Extra Bitter a pretty deep orange color, Faith dusty light brown color, Lockout same as faith just a shade darker, and Lethal a rich dark Burgundy color.  I also love the double sided brush that comes with the palette it's very soft and high quality.

The Verdict: do i love this Palette?? 

yes!! i super love this one compared to the Naked 3 , for me this Palette is more usable in the sense that it's Neutral matte so you can just wear it everyday no intense shimmer and glitter so you can use all the shades in day to day basis. Although i doubt that i'll be able to hit pan because i have tons of make up but if ever i'll finish this palette i would probably repurchased it, personally it's worth the price i wear makeup everyday and i usually go for a matte shadow and this palette is my best friend. 

Is it a necessity? Definitely not!! but if you have a little extra bucks and want to splurge on one specific urban decay product i recommend this, you can even use it as a liner and define your brows so it's a multi use palette it's pigmented, doesn't easily crease and very easy use.

UNBOXING my Awaken the Goddess Within curated box Featuring Eye of Horus Products

Hello fellow Makeup Junkies welcome to another awesome Unboxing Blog featuring the products from Eye of Horus. This curated box is from one of the most popular Online Beauty shop Glamour Box Ph . I've been using all the products this past 2 weeks and i must admit that this brand is amazing, all the products that i got is really pigmented and last really long. I also did a little research about this Australian brand and i found out that they are Vegan Cosmetics, meaning they use organic ingredients that are not harmful to our health and they are Cruelty free w/c is a big factor for me when purchasing cosmetics.

Isis Sun Goddess Shadow Palette ( click here for product link ). This Palette is composed of three Italian Baked Gorgeous Golden shades w/c can be applied dry for minimal finish or wet brush for more striking hues, it can also be used as a Bronzer though personally i find this palette to Shimmery for a bronzer.

Goddess Pencil in Nubian Brown (click here for product link). This Paraben free Liner Pencil is very creamy and really easy to apply. By using it's sponge tip you can create a sexy deep smokey look. The downfall of this liner is it easily transfer, if you keep on rubbing your eyes you can mess it up.

Liquid Define Babylon Brown Liner  ( click here for product detail). This is perfect in creating the wing line for a cat eye look. Because it's water proof expect it to last really long.

Ankh Necklace this is exclusive in the curated box set, meaning you cannot buy this in their site. I really love this necklace, it just goes well to just about any outfit. You can wear it anywhere from simple dinner to formal affair this necklace will add statement to your outfit.

Christmas in NewYork Chocolate Shop Makeup Set by Too Faced Cosmetics: Personal Thoughts and Swatches

Hello fellow Beauty Addicts!! Christmas is just around the corner so as expected Cosmetic companies will definitely release their Holiday Makeup Edition. One of my Favorite brand is the Too Faced Cosmetics, aside from their super cute make up themes the formulation of their products is amazing!!! and the scent... it's soooo yummy that everytime i use it i always crave for a damn chocolate bar!! On this blog i'll be sharing to you my personal thoughts and swatches on their Holiday Makeup Edition Christmas in New York Makeup i got the Chocolate shop kit the biggest of them all because why not?? the bigger the better :)!!

This kit retails at 3,429.00 Php. (click here for product link) it contains 21 Eyeshadows 8 mattes  and 13 shimmer shadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter , 1 contouring shade ,

 it also include deluxe size of Shadow insurance eyeshadow primer, Deluxe size od Better than sex Mascara, and a deluxe size of Melted Lipstick in the shade Chocolate Milkshake. 

First lets talk about how pretty and super duper cute is the packaging!!! frankly speaking i am always purchasing Too Faced because of it's packaging, yes i know that's kinda weird but let's face it having a catchy packaging will always attract costumer, it's the 1st thing they will notice when they shop so for the packaging i will give Too faced 2 thumbs up. However if you have the last years Holiday Edition kits you wouldn't probably appreciate this because this is almost the same, the only difference was the previous one was Christmas in Paris so the setting was more of a french theme. 

Unlike their Chocolate Palettes w/c was all made with sturdy Tin Cans this one is made with hard cardboard, although the board is pretty sturdy i wouldn't be bringing the palette with me because it's kinda big and i don't think it will protect the products inside you might end up with broken pans!!. Just like their other products this smells like chocolate aswell, i think it's a too faced trademark i would be surprise it one of their product won't have a chocolate scent.

I've been using this for this past few days now to know if their worth it, personally i have no issues on the palette, i tried using it without any primer so far it didn't crease, i put it around 10:00 am i usually go home around 5:00 -6:00 pm and the shadows is still their i'm really impress because other eyeshadows usually disappear by the time i got home, but these shadows is still lock in my lids. There are some shades w/c are not as pigmented as the other ones mostly on the matte colors but you can still build it slowly to achieve the pigment that you prefer. 

I'm not a fan of  the Shadow insurance primer, although it does enhance the shadows and make it last longer but it made the eyeshadows really2x hard to blend, i'm not sure if it's just me but it is too sticky that when you apply the shadow the brush does not glide at all, it's like sticking to your lids making the blending process really hard. 

I have mixed feelings with the melted Lipstick, i love how it is very moisturizing and comfortable in the lips  plus the scent is amazing but after wearing it about an hour white lines start forming around my lips w/c i really 2x hate, everytime i wear this i need to check my lips, when that white line starts forming i have to scrub it off and reapply again.. it's really annoying.

Now i know why people is raving about this Mascara, this is amazing one coat and your lashes is alive, 2 coats your bombshell 3 or more coats dammit you a goddess!! i love this nothing more to say.

Final say: for me this product is about 90% worth it because it has some products w/c didn't work for me, however according to Too faced total value of the products included in this kit is around 200-300 USD i mean Too Faced makeup is not cheap so to have these many product in one kit i guess it's okay, if you're looking for a better value for you money in a lesser price you can get the Grand Hotel Cafe kit it has a free mascara and 3 separate Palettes w/c you can share to your friends (w/c i really doubt it hehehe) or you can just keep it all to your self ....

Too Faced Chocolate BonBons Palette Personal Thoughts and Swatch

Hello Fellow makeup junkies in this blog i'll be sharing with you my thoughts on the famous Chocolate Bonbons Palette by Too faced . 

I'm pretty sure you guys all heard about this Palette, i know i'm a bit late in making a Review and Swatch Blog  on this but i love this makeup soooooo  much that i just have to do this.

Last October 10 i finally decided to purchase this Palette because it was my birthday and i have all the reason in the world to splurge in every thing that i want!! :) no guilt it's my birthday after all hehehehe, Anyway it's no secret that Too Faced is a bit  Pricey so i was actually hesitant to buy this one because it was 2,928.00 Php in Sephora ph (click here for product link ) and that is way too expensive if you compare it to other beauty brands such as Maybeline and L'oreal which are very good makeup brands, but this  one belongs in the high end shelves so expect it to be pricey.  The good thing is my ever supportive and loving Boyfriend offer to pay it since he doesn't know what to get me for my birthday so lucky me hehehe. 

I got my Product just Four days after i placed my order which is actually pretty fast knowing that  Sephora Ph. is Singapore based so all products are being shipped from Singapore to Philippines via Aramex courier and LBC. 

The Packaging is so cute!! which is expected because Too Faced is one of those brands who gives effort with their products packaging. The palettes case is made of metal so i assume that's the reason why it's kinda heavy and very sturdy.  It has a magnetic lock which makes it easier to open and close the palette and a descent size mirror in the back of the top cover.

When you open the Palette the 1st thing you will notice is the YUMMY SCENT!!! like a real Chocolate so if you're a chocoholic this will definitely trigger your chocolate cravings. 

This Palette contains 14 favorite eyeshadows and 2 totally new shades: Almond Truffle, Satin Sheets, Sprinkles, Molasses Chip, Malted, Cashew Chew, Cotton Candy, Café Au Lait, Bordeaux, Mocha, Black Currant, Dark Truffle, Pecan Praline, Totally Fetch, Earl Grey and Divinity. 

also the product included a step by step "how-to Glamour Guide" to master three eye looks using different color combination of all the shades in the palette.

What i love about this products is it is Paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, Gluten-free, and the most important is Too faced is Cruelty free. Not only it is safe to us humans but also to our little furry animal friends. I've been using this for two weeks now and i can definitely say this is worth the money!! it is very pigmented, creamy, very easy to blend and it does not fade easily (unless you keep on rubbing your eyes), i tried using it without any eye shadow primer just to test the product and it actually stayed on my lids for like 8 hrs without creasing. 

Personally i really love this Palette although i would probably buy the other Chocolate Bar Palette and other Too faced Products than repurchasing this because i kinda consider this as a collectibles so for me since this is a bit expensive i'll rather want to try other palettes than to just limit myself to one Palette if it makes sense?? hhehe i'm sure you get what i meant... 

is it worth my money? yes most probably is, from it's packaging up to it's formulation you can see that Too Faced really made their products in the highest quality. I'm not saying that other products are made cheap, i know there are brands in the market w/c also offers quality products in a much cheaper price, But if you have extra money that you want to splurge or if you want to treat your self with something worth your bucks , Too faced is worth it!! so 2 thumbs up to this yummy Palette i'll definitely be buying other stuff from them so stay tuned.. :)

Unboxing my DROP DEAD GORGEOUS GLAMOUR BOX

Hello Beauties and fellow make up junkies!! we're here again with  another Unboxing Episode (yay!!). Last October 13, 2016 my Subscription Box from Glamour Box finally arrived. It was called the Drop Dead Gorgeous Box featuring the Pop Beauty Cosmetics. For those who is not familiar with Glamour Box here's a short overview, Glamour Box is an Online Shopping site w/c caters Different Cosmetics and Beauty Products varying from local to international brands. Product Details:

Permanent Pout in the shade Razzle Rose ( click here for product link ). This is a Liquid Lipstick That gives a Velvety and Matte Finish you can buy it for 750.00 Php and it comes in six different shades. I'm Glad that this was the shade that i got because currently i am obsessed with nudes. This one has a coral brownish pink color w/c you can wear with any make up look. The formulation of this Liquid  lipstick is also quite good, it is very pigmented, easy to apply and very creamy. Although it dries in a Matte Finish it does not clump up my lips but it does transfer to things that touches your lips like when you drink coffee or you take a bite in your friend's burger :) it leaves a stain in it, so you need to reapply your lipstick after eating or drinking. Personally i would rate this lipstick 8 out of 10 stars for it's quality and price. 

Peak Performance Brow in the shade Natural Brunette (click here for product link ). This Eyebrow pencil is sold for 790.00 php it has a slanted triangular shape which claims to make application easier and gives off perfect eyebrow arches. It also claims to last the whole day. Personally i'm not a "KILAY IS LIFE" kinda person because i have a decent natural shape eyebrows and i thank God for that since i don't like spending 1-2 hrs just to get a perfect Brows, however i did tried this just to test the product  i guess i would still prefer powder rather than pencils because for me it's easier and faster also in some weird way eyebrow pencils tend to make my brow bald?? i don't know if it's just me or it happens to other people but yeah i notice my eyebrows became thinner when i used pencils... let me know in the comment box if any of you experience this as well.

Pow Wow Powder in Rockin' Rouge Pallete (click here for product link ). The curated box offers two palettes the Beachin Bronze which is a bronzer palette and the Rockin Rouge which is a blush palette, i am glad that i got the Blush palette because i already have tons of bronzer palettes and i was actually planning to purchase a blusher , it seems like Glamour Box can read my mind :) . This quad palette also have a Highlighter Palette called Strobin Glow. The Rockin Rouge consist of  two Matte blushers and two Shiny ones all are very pretty vibrant pink.

You can Buy this for 1,190.00 Php which is a bit pricey but i mean you get four pretty shades of blushes so i think it's still ok. I also love the packaging of this palette and the short message you see when you open it i think it's just cute and pretty.

Pouty Pop Crayon in the shade Rose Romance ( click here for product link ). This is sold for 395.00 Php This is basically a colored lip Balm which is very moisturizing to the lips like the products in this curated box they offer different shades, and again in some weird way glamourbox sent me the shade that i really love, I've been using this crayons since last year because i purchase the Pop Crayon kit where you get all 6 shades of these very moisturizing and pigmented lip crayons you can check my previous blog that included these crayon kit here. 

Nail Glam in the shade Seventy Five Purple Plum (click here for product link ).  Again i got the pretty shade :) ( i love you glamour box) i was actually wearing it on my unboxing video above although the application was not perfect because i just tried it a soon as i opened the box :). You can buy this nail polish for 450.00 php a bit pricey for a nail polish i wouldn't buy it unless it will be 50% off hehehehe , but the formulation of this is quite good it is Formaldehyde and DBP free w/c make this nail polish safe for human health, it is easy to apply and it dries up quickly.  

400.00 php Gift Coupon. They also included a 400.00 GC which you can use for a minimum 1,500.00 php purchase of Pop Beauty Product in Glamourbox.ph you can use it until Dec. 31 this year. 

Shade Duette in the shade Petal Glow + Plum (click here for Product Link ) . This was not included in the Curated box but i just purchased it because i don't like paying shipping fees, so i made sure my total purchase is 1500.00 so i can have a free shipping :) 

Tthis duette shadow is sold for 485.00 Php. It is very pigmented and very easy to blend, personally i think this is worth the purchase since i have no Plum eyes
