A place worth visiting to get pampered and relaxed

In a world where time flies and working non stop is a must we all get to that point where we need a big Time out!! even just for a few hours to escape our daily work routine a few hours just for ourselves and not to think about those deadlines, the paperworks the clients all of this stuff just a few hours for ourselves.

As an Architect i always neglect my "ME TIME" because i need to meet all my deadlines or the clients will not be happy, or the worst part is getting my pending jobs all piled up and getting my schedule messed up. But just like any other person i do reach my limit where i need to pause and get some break so i can function well, during this moments i like to go to new places or try new things just to break that routine.

 Luckily i got an invite to try out the services at Nail A Holics and Hey Sugar Waxing Salon located at the lower ground New wing of SM city Iloilo.  I was a bit hesitant at first because I've never been to a waxing salon , plus i do my nails at home and yes it would always look horrible as expected and the word "Wax" scares me.  But of course there is always that curiosity that makes me want to try and the fact that i have an upcoming event with my affiliation so i needed to get my brows groomed by a professional. 

can i just say how pretty and dainty their interiors are. 

so i availed their Browberry Cream ( 150.00 php )w/c is Brow Treading, and the Strawberry Swirl 

(280.00 php) w/c is the eyelash perming. Another thing that i want to stress out about this Waxing salon is that they use organic products, for instance they use an organic thread on their treading sessions making the clients less prone to allergens, they also use different type of organic oils to apply on the skin where they do the waxing and treading.

i love how they made the interior a "beach house" themed, it creates a relaxing ambiance perfect in relieving your stressful day.

i availed their Palm Beach Pedicure (230.00 php) , and their Gel Manicure (850.00 php).

i never thought there were so many steps to get a good Mani and Pedi, i used to just swipe what ever nail polish on my nails. It's really different when it is done by a Professional and i can truly say Nail a holics is one of the expert when it comes in nail stuff. Review on Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Collection

Hello fellow Makeup and Beauty Junkie, we're here again with yet another review on the latest Makeup Collaboration of Ofra Cosmetics and the youtube Guru Nikkie Tutorials. This was revealed by Nikkie on her own Channel last March 15, 2017 you can check her video HERE , this collection was launched on March 29,2017. 

The collection consist of 3 Liquid lipsticks 2 of which are metallic the shades Spell a bright orange, Coven a dark brownish color ,the shade nude potion a matte light pinkie nude color, and a highlighter wheel in the shade Everglow that has three shades a white color with gold reflects, a champagne color and an orange copper color.

The Box is beautiful, it's made of hard cardboard so it's sturdy. The top cover has a glitter and the bottom part is very smooth with a metallic band separating the two parts. On the other hand the packaging of the actual products feels really cheap for it's price especially the highlighter's case it's almost the same as those on the drugstore ones very thin plastic with clear covering. This Collection retails for a whooping 3,300.00 php and you can purchase it in Glamourboxph .

Now for the fun part, here are the swatches of all the shades on this collection.

first is the Everglow Highligter with there shades

This Wheel highlighter has 3 shades.

 This highlighter is very very very pigmented, if you're not into that BLINDING highlights then this one is not for you because this will give you that "What's on your face?" statement everytime you wear this. Just like any other Ofra powder products this has an amazing formulation, the texture is creamy and very easy to blend you just need to dip your brush very lightly and it will give you PIGMENT!! However this is a little bit chunky and has a lot of fall outs but i personally don't mind it.

Next are the three Long Lasting Lipsticks in the shades Coven, Spell and Nude Potion.

Top to bottom: Coven, Spell and Nude Potion

 The Shade Coven is a Dark brownish Metallic liquid lipstick, it's very creamy it has that vanilla scent w/c i believe all Ofra lipsticks has. This was the most pigmented among the three. 

The Shade Spell this is a Neon Orange metallic Liquid lipstick, very creamy also has that vanilla scent but this one applies patchy, so in order for you to have that flawless solid color you need to apply a few layers. 

The shade Nude Potion this is the only matte on the collection, this is creamy upon application but it dries down into a super matte finish and like the shade spell this is a bit patchy as well, but since it dries into a matte finish i find it very hard to layer it because it does not build up like the way the Shade spell does, so i'm not fan of this one.  Final Thought, personally i only got this collection after winning it on GlamourBox Ph giveaway last May 9,2017 which i'm very thankful of, however for the price of 3,300.00 php i don't think i would ever purchased this collection, don't get me wrong i love Ofra for me they have an amazing formulation on all their products specially the lipsticks i love how it's very comfortable on the lips and the scent is amazing, but for this collection i don't find myself attracted to any of the shades because the colors are too bold for my preference, i don't think i could wear these shades everyday without getting noticed specially the shades Coven and Spell these shades are just too loud for me.

The Nude spell is too light for my skintone but i could get away with it by using a darker lipliner and applying the lipstick on the center to create a gradiant lips. I usually use the Shades Coven and spell as a lip topper on my other lipsticks. For the Everglow Highlighter i used the lightest shade as a highlight topper on top of my other highlights to give more glow on the highest parts of my face, for the medium and the dark shades i use it mainly as an eyeshadow w/c is perfect for the inner corner and the brow bone.

Personal Thoughts and Swatches: Limited Edition Eye Love You Eye Set

Hello fellow Beauty fanatics today i'll be sharing my thoughts and swatches of my recently purchased Makeup Palette from Tarte Cosmetics. Before i start here's a little info about the company, Tarte Cosmetics was founded by Maureen Kelly in 1999 for the sole purpose of creating a cosmetics line without using unhealthy ingredients such as Parabens, Triclosan and other harmful ingredients w/c other cosmetic company use. Tarte is also a cruelty company (which is a big thing to me) meaning they don't tests on animals at the same time they use eco friendly ingredients w/c is beneficial to our environment and good to our skin, you can read more about the company's facts and background HERE.

This was a Limited Edition Set that they released during their 2015 Mother's Day Collection, but i think they restocked it this year i'm not sure but anyway i got mine from a legit online seller where i order and buy some of my beauty products you can check here online shop Here .  I bought this set for 1,350.00 Php and it comes with 16  mattes and shimmers shades and a deluxe size mascara. 

The size of the Palette is 11 cm in length, 11.5 cm in width and about 1cm thick. Each eyeshadow pans contains 0.7 grams or 0.024 oz of product.  The packaging is made of hard cardboard with magnetic closing. It has a good size mirror which is a plus if your going to take it with you when you go out or when traveling.

 The mascara contains 4ml of product and it has a very nice packaging, unlike an ordinary mascara that has a plastic tube, this one is wrap around with an animal textured plastic layer w/c gives the product a fabulous finish.

There are  11 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades, what i love about this palette is it's colors are very neutral so it's perfect for all skin types. It will go well to people with very light skin color and at the same time the colors will look as good to people with dark skin tone. The only thing that i don't like about this palette is the names of the shades is on the plastic cover so if ever you decide to throw it away or lost it you won't be able to know the name of the shades unless you memorize it.

Now for the fun part, here are the swatches of the shades from left to right order of the palette.

top to bottom: I'm your Pear - shimmer , Two ro Tan-go - matte, Melted Chocolate - matte, Rich Mahogany - matte.

Top to bottom: Sand by me- shimmer, The first Mauve - matte, Beauty and Bronze - shimmer, Malberry nice - shimmer

Top to bottom: Peach of mind - matte, Champagne & strawberries - shimmer, Coffee date - matte, Hazlenut souffle - matte

Top to Bottom: Pinky Promise - matte, Floral Bouquet-matte, Violet it be - matte , Plum Together - matte

Another thing that i like about this palette is how Tarte arranged the orders of the shades, if you're a newbie with makeup and don't know or confuse on what colors go together you can simply use it by horizontal row, if you notice each row has a light and dark, shades that you can use to create a full look, each row has it's transition shade, a pop of color that you can use to highlight either the inner corner of your eyes or the center of you lids, it also has the darker shades w/c you can use on outer corner of your lids to create a dimension and dramatic look. 

here are two different looks that i was able to create from this palette:

i use the shades: Pinkie promise as a base, The first mauve as a transition shade, Coffee date on my outer half lids, rich mahogany on my outermost corner, and i'm your pearl to my inner corner. mascara:is the tarte camera lights mascara, lipstick is from ofra long lasting liquid lipstick in the shade Coven.

shades used: Pinkie Promise as my base, Tan to go as my transition shade, hazelnut souffle on my outer corner and sand by me on my center lid going to inner corner.

Overall i love this Palette, it's very pigmented and long lasting as expected with every Tarte products. The mascara is amazing, it gives your lashes volume perfect for those who hates wearing falsies( like me). 

Is it worth? personally yes, i'm very happy with this purchase i use it often and the pigments are amazing that you only need a little product to get a dramatic look so i doubt if you hit pan. However if you own neutral shade palettes and earth tone eye shadows you can skip this because the shades on this are typical earthy brown tones except for the bottom row w/c is more towards the purple tones, but if your like me who love to collect makeups i definitely recommend this.

First Impression and Color Swatches : Zoeva Blanc Fusion Palette

Hello again loves!! i know i haven't written anything for the month of April i was planning to give a review on some new skin care that i'm trying out (i bought only skin care products and tools last month) , however i do think that in order for me to give a good thoughts on skin care products i should use it for few months, i mean skin care effects are not over night so that will be coming up next month for the mean time i bought a new palette so i thought i will be sharing to you my thoughts about this product.

On this Blog i'll be sharing to you my personal thoughts and color swatches on the Zoeva Blanc Fusion Palette. I got this in Sephora Ph during their Beauty Pass Exclusive Sale 15% - 20% off store wide sale last May 4,2017. The original price of this Palette was 1,464.00 Php and i got 15% off so i only paid 1,245.00 Php.

Here is a little info about the product on the Sephora's website, so it says that ZOEVA Blanc Fusion Eyeshadow Palette unwraps a decadent repertoire of luxurious white chocolate hues, infused by milky Dulce de leche nuances and roasted almond shades, topped off with a shimmering tinge of golden honey. With their richly pigmented, velvety smooth formula, the matte and shimmering eyeshadows unfold gracefully on the finish, creating blissfully elegant makeup looks. Finishes on this Palette are Matte, Satin, Metallic, and Pearl.The formulation of the eyeshadows is enriched with vitamin E and is 100% free of parabens, mineral oils, perfume and phthalates.

I was originally going to buy the Caramel Melange Palette but it was sold out so i thought i would give this Blanc Fusion Palette a try because i'm quite intrigue with it's yellow based colors. So without further a due Here are the Swatches of the color on this palette.

From Bottom to Top: Shade Noble, Single Origin, Visions of Gold, Late Bloomer and Sweetness Lingers

From Bottom To top: Shades Travel Inspired, Joy in a Box, Cronched, Question of Taste and Last Bite.

As you can see from the swatches all the shimmer Shades has a Gold Reflects while the matte shades has a yellow undertone.  The quality of this palette is very good, although there are a small fall out with the Mattes, but all the shades are very pigmented and creamy also this palette has no scent. 

The Size of the palette is 7 1/2 inches in length and 3 1/2 inches in width, the thickness is about 1cm w/c is pretty thin so it's not bulky. The packaging is made of Hard paper, has a magnetic closure and a paper sleeve to keep the palette from opening so i suggest to secure it when you travel with this palette because it could easily break. I love the Geometric design with the reflective gold color it looks really sleek.

Final thought: Personally for the quality of the palette i would give it 5 over 5 stars because it has a very good formulation for it's price, but the colors ... well i'm not really drawn into them i would probably love the colors on the Caramel Melange Palette but that's just my personal preference with the shades, if your into yellow undertones and yellow shades then you would probably love this palette, but if your like me that loves browns and red undertones then this palette is not for you.

Basically this works like a Sheet mask where you stick the pads on areas where you feel the needs for more hydration. You need to leave it atleast 60 seconds for better result.

Product Claims:

This Cushion has a "Net Like" Cushion cover w/c makes the product to dispense evenly for more flawless  and smooth Finish . It also claims to offer full coverage without consuming so much time and it stays all day.

This is probably my favorite product on this box because it's an All Matte eyeshadow.  

The color selection are amazing it's very neutral you can use it for everyday look or as a transition shades in conjunction with your other shimmery eyeshadows. The only thing that bothers me is this it's very powdery so it's best to do the eyes first before doing your face makeup. The color payoff is decent but you can intensify it using a dampen brush or the Fix plus or other spray mists. In this box you get the Berry Chiffon Palette but it has another shade you can check it here.

Next Is the Lux Dual Contouring Stick in the shade no. 1 from Rire 

This is a Typical Contouring stick, though i have to admit i am not a fan of Contour in Cream, Liquid and Stick form, it always disappear by the end of the day plus i don't like the sticky and heavy feeling of it, this has variety of colors you can check it here , but the one that comes in this box is the shade no. 1 it has a dark brown shade on one side for the contour and a pinkish shade on the other side for the highlight.Personally i think it's more easier to use a stick contour compared with powders that can get a bit scary when your just starting with make up. Another tip when using stick, cream and liquid contours is you have to ALWAYS set it with a powder to lock it in place.

Next is The Long Lasting Lip Laquer from Blingsome 

There are two Available colors of this Laquer the shade Burgandy and the shade Coral. You can either get the burgandy or the coral shade depending on what Althea Puts in your box in my box i got the Burgandy shade.  

At first this Lip Laquer looks a typical stick lipstick but upon opening it you will see that it is not a stick lipstick but rather it's a liquid lipstick inside a plastic container shaped into a stick lipstick hence the name "LAQUER" w/c honestly didn't hit me until i examine the product (hahaha stupid me).

Last but not The Least The 4d Pore Balance Solution from Esthetic House 

This is a Multi Pact Clay Cleansing foam that claims to thoroughly removes make up and at the same time functions as a Clay pact that removes dead skin cells. When using this product you have to apply it on dry face and leave it for 2-3 minutes then rinse it thoroughly. 

The Total Value for this Box is 5,720. 00 Php, but you can buy this Box for only 1,430.00 Php!!

so obviously you get to save almost triple of the amount you paid.
