Drugs Store Make up: 1st impression and Personal Thoughts

Hello guys, today i'll be sharing to you my 1st impression and thoughts about the drugstore makeup products that i recently hauled. Before anything else i would like to make it clear that this blog is based on my personal thoughts, some products that i'll be reviewing here may work for me but not to other people and vice versa.

First on the list is the popular True Match Liquid Foundation from L'Oreal Paris. I bought it for 450.00 php with 25% off original price was 600.00 php

Since they were having a big sale i hurriedly went to SM City to buy this. I got mine in the shade G1 Gold Ivory it was recommended to me by one of the promo girl in their counter.

This comes in a Glass bottle with pump, you have to pump several times if you 1st open it to get the product out. The Foundation's consistency is a bit too "liquid-y" like if you pump it out in the back of your hands and tilt it sideways the product would just go dripping on that direction, so if you use a sponge or beauty blender when applying this it would be better to slightly smudge the product on your face so the sponge / beauty blender won't absorbed it.

I was really excited to try it because I've read good reviews about this product. When i got home i immediately tried it in the back of my hand to see it's effect, and it was really good. It finishes into a smooth feathery and silky finish, it also covers light blemishes and it has a glittery effect in direct light, so over all i really love the product, it was truly a Perfect Match on my Skin color, nice coverage and perfect finish.

But, Yes there is a BIG BUT!! it break me out, i don't know why because i don't have this super sensitive skin, i never had any break outs from using other liquid foundations before (and let me tell you i have even tried using those "china2x" foundations sold in Chinese stores haha) . The morning after i 1st tried it, i noticed small red dots started forming on my face, and i knew it was the foundation because it was the only new product that i used. I really love the formula on this product but i just don't know what ingredient is in this that caused my break outs. As much as i want this foundation to work out for me because i really love it so much it just doesn't,  So if you have a very sensitive skin you might want to use other Liquid foundation because this can cause breakouts.

Next Product is the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray and Set, Bought it for 375.00 Php. with 25% off original price was 500.00 Php 

It is a 100 ml bottle setting spray which prolongs your make up for 16 hours, at least that's what the product claims. Although i never wear my make up for 16 long hours, i could say it does extend the make up. I usually put make up at 9 a.m. then go to my office until 5 p.m. I get home at around 5.30- 6:00 pm and just wash my face so basically i only wear my make up for 9 hours. 

Before i started using this Spray i would normally do touch ups at 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. and in most cases when I go home my eye shadow is gone and my foundation is invisible (yes i look like crap), but since i started using this spray i don't retouch my make up, my eye shadow just stays where i put them, and my foundation is still visible. The only issue i have with this spray is it makes me a little bit oily, but for me it's not really a big deal since you can just use a blotting paper or put translucent powder to get rid of that oiliness.Over all i love this spray and i highly recommend it for those who wore make up for a solid 16 hrs just don't forget to bring powder and blotting papers just in case it will also make you oily. 

Another L'Oreal product that i recently bought was this Curl Impact Collagene Mascara bought it for 250.00 with 50% off original price is 500.00 php

I really love its packaging it looks so luxurious (who doesn't like gold??). Aside from the Gold box the mascara bottle (i'm not sure how you call the whole thing ) is also chrome gold with black strip that contains the product name. 

the wand has a slight curve to it that would supposedly help to apply the product easily and will enhance the lash's curl.

The product claims to Curl-fix, add volume to the lashes it is smudge and water proof. It was also stated in the product description that it is easily removed by using any makeup remover or warm water, now this is actually one of the thing i always ask when buying mascara, i hate it when i need to wait 3 days before the product wears off from my lashes ( i had a bad experience with cover girl bombshell mascara).

my personal thoughts on this product: well over all i would probably use it (because i already bought it), it does give volume and it's was easy to remove, but i notice my lashes feels rubbery after i apply it and dries off, maybe because it is infused with collagen complex, i read on it's description that this collagen will help keep your lashes curl, but from my experience it did the exact opposite, after the product dries off and turn into a "rubbery" texture i notice that my lashes is slowly going back to it's original shape. I have a typical Asian lashes where it goes straight in downward direction, it is also very hard to keep it curly, if i use this mascara the curl will only last for 10-15 mins. and back to that straight lashes again. I wouldn't repurchase this i'll rather stick to my Maybeline Hyper curl Mascara. 

Next Product  is the e.l.f. Poreless Face Primer, it is available in SM counters nation wide, bought it for 499.00 php.

It comes in a 13.7 g or 0.48 oz net weight Smokey glass bottle with pump and a clear plastic cap. The product is a thick white cream that dissolves into a clear smooth texture. The product claims to Reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, and shine for a gorgeous airbrushed look. it is also infused with Tea tree, and vitamins A & E for anti - aging and restorative benefits. This skin primer transforms your face into a flawless and smooth canvas so make up goes on evenly for long lasting matte finish, this was in the product description which i find it too good to be true hehehe.

When using this product you have to apply to clear skin prior to make up application. You only need a pea sized amount and gently blend it all over your face, as the cream dries up you will literally feel your face becomes softer and smoother. It does minimize pores but it will not give you a pore less face, i love everything in this primer except for its scent. It smells like a disinfectant soap used in hospitals but the smell subsides as the product dries up so you only have to endure the smell for a few seconds because it dries up pretty fast. Since it makes your face smother i find it easier to apply my BB cream and if your into contouring like my self it will make the blending easier and it does really gives you a matte finish. I would definitely repurchased this primer and this would probably be my favorite primer for now. 

Last But not the least, e.l.f. All Over Stick, Bought it for 129.75 Php at Zalora philippines. 

This is a multi use cream stick, it can be use as a bronzer / Blusher, shadow or even as a liptint.  I believe this all over stick comes in 4 shades I got mine in the shade Toasted #30326, other colors are the Pesimmon #3102 , Pink Lemonade #3101 and Spotlight #3106.

The toasted is a Shimmery Bronze Color, the Pesimmon is a bit Peachy Orange, the Pink Lemonade is Shimmery Pink and the Spotlight is Shimmery White. The 1st three colors can be use as a Bronzer, Blusher, eyeshadow and lip tint, The Spotlight can be use as a highlighter and also as an eyeshadow. 

This product comes in a White Shiny Plastic Retractable Body and a Clear Plastic cap. It has a creamy Shiny Texture with a Citrus Scent, it also quite pigmented for a 129.75 price, i actually expect this to be cheap in quality since it is really cheap, but i was amaze of how pigmented it is, and it does stays very long even if you go swimming. I love how subtle it looks on my cheeks, it looks natural but gives you that "Glowy and Bronzy" look just perfect for summer. I will definitely repurchase this and i would probably try the other 3 colors as well as soon as they get restocked.

My Althea Korea Experience : Unboxing the Pink Box

They did give me separate Tracking numbers for my two orders which i keep on checking every other day :) i'm just soooooo excited. However it took more than 10 days before they delivered my parcel because it was help up in the customs for days. 

Last Tuesday March 15, my Parcel finally arrived and i'm so glad that they delivered the two boxes too, i was actually just expecting one box because i thought since i ordered it in different dates it would arrive differently but they delivered it together anyway so YEY!! for their dispatching team. :)
